Here we go again. We are loosing half of the parking lot due to testing of the soil. They say this might take a couple of days but I'm thinking otherwise. Waipahu means bursting or forceful water which in early Hawaii meant artesian springs exist in this area. I do know for a fact the spring waters go directly under our building which could be a direct relationship with the uneven pavement. I'm letting all our customers know that if the parking lot appears full you may park on the street or in the big lot across the street at no additional cost.

Simplicity at its best. A customer brought in his Kamaka standard to share with us. The glue dried up and bottom came completely off. I thought some of you might be interested to see the inside of the renown sounding Kamaka Ukuleles.

This is a very interesting looking ukulele. It has the label Hawaii inside. The headstock has 6 tuners and the 1st and 4th strings are doubled. You can see the wood is koa. I was told it could have been made by Kamaka who sold it to other uke manufactures before they establish the name Kamaka. Unfortunately a family member refinished it

Jr. Atisanoe brought in this lawsuit 12 string Takamine that used to belong to his father who traded it with Gabby Pahinui for a white cutaway Takamine. Gabby played this guitar on the Rabbit Island album. He resently reunited this guitar and had us do the setup. Because of its age I recommended D'addario extra light 12 strings. When Jr. came to pickup the guitar it didn't dawn on me earlier but when I opened the pocket inside of the hardcase and there was an older packet of the same D'addario extra light stings.

I happened to show off my Martin 0-15 (1952) to Tim Shively and he started playing this classical piece. Immediately I asked if we could capture this. He was kind enough to agree. Classical music on steel strings.... I enjoyed it, let me know what you think.
